Clinical Lead Consultant

Outpatient Therapist

Direct E-mail: SNoell@traumatherapyofthecarolinas.com

Hello! My name is Sereta.

  • I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work.
  • I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina with experience supporting clients in navigating trauma, anxiety, and life transitions.

I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in individual therapy.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Anxiety & Stress Management
  • Trauma & Post-Traumatic Stress
  • Emotion Regulation & Mindfulness

I also have experience in:

  • Life Transitions
  • Self-Compassion
  • Relationship Issues
  • Grief & Loss

My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, tailored to each client’s unique needs.

My style is eclectic with predominate use of:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A research-supported method for reprocessing traumatic experiences and reducing lingering emotional distress.
  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): A structured approach to help clients understand and change unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and develop healthier coping strategies.

I also incorporate psychoeducation because understanding how the brain and body respond to stress can be empowering. Together, we’ll explore the stories beneath your emotions, unpack what no longer serves you, and identify practical tools to support long-term growth and healing. I also have training in basic Sand Tray Play Therapy.

My aim as a counselor is to offer a safe presence, to listen and truly hear, to support, inform, offer options and guidance, and to walk alongside you as you create meaningful change in your life.

For a little bit about me, outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors, visiting with family & friends, doing puzzles and being by the water.

For instance, this could include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in which I implement relaxation, mindfulness, and self-compassion skills to help a client undo unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving.

A faith-based approach in therapy could be applied and integrated into the counseling process when a client deems their faith and religious life important to self-understanding, growth, and change.

Direct Email: ssetcavage@traumatherapyofthecarolinas.com

Hi, my name is Spencer.

I work with adults ages 18 and older. Many of the clients I work with are seeking healing from trauma, difficult life experiences and patterns that no longer serve them. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have spent a long time in survival mode and are now ready for something more.

My therapeutic approach is humanistic. I take an attachment-based approach,

grounded in empathy, authenticity, and deep respect for your lived experience. I believe trauma is healed through safety and relationship.

As a Therapist I integrate the following Modalities and Techniques:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • Attachment-informed therapy
  • Trauma-focused interventions
  • Somatic experiencing for stress reduction

I often tell clients:

You are exactly who you needed to be to survive what you’ve been through. But you don’t have to remain in survival mode. Therapy can be a place where healing happens and where you begin to thrive.

My focus:

  • Emotional safety
  • Attachment healing
  • Trauma processing
  • Self-understanding
  • Intentional growth

I provide a safe, judgment-free space where your nervous system can begin to settle

and trust the process of healing. I work best with clients who are motivated, open to change,

and ready to engage in meaningful, intentional work. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.

Whether you are taking your first steps or continuing along your path, I am here to work alongside you, offering guidance, compassion, and steady support every step of the way.
